Some of the ways we reach out:
Amigos Days: Each spring, we partner with Greenwood Hills United Methodist Church to rehabilitate rundown homes to bring them into code compliance so the owners can continue to occupy them. In 2011, the event was held in early April.
Lakewood Relief Fund: After Hurricane Katrina, we adopted a family displaced by the flooding in New Orleans. We later adopted a homeless family, gave them a place to live, assisted the mother with job skills training through the Wilkinson Center and continued some assistance as the family transitioned to living on its own. Currently, we are partnering with the Interfaith Housing Coalition, and are hoping to assist a new family.
We also host neighborhood association meetings, teacher appreciation luncheons, craft guilds, evening Spanish classes, Kindermusik classes, Alcoholics Anonymous, arts and crafts fairs, musical performances and other events.

Christian Education
Sunday School classes are available for all ages. We currently have two adult classes that meet from 9:00am - 10:00am. We also have Sunday School for children.
In the Children's Wing you will find a wonderful nursery, and two children's classrooms.
Aside from Sunday School classes, we offer Bible Study classes on a variety of topics, usually meeting on a weekly basis in the evening, with the length varying from a few weeks to several months.
We also occasionally host or participate in weekend retreats, and offer a comprehensive four-part Bible course called the Disciple Bible Study.
